QxET - Second try

Intro

It's few days I published small article about the QxET theme for qooxdoo. I wrote that theme is currently not balanced and that some time is needed to make it better. Today I played with the theme a lot and I'm finishing! I'm bringing here new screenshot and working application where you can play with qooxdoo themes and QxET.

Update: All qooxdoo bugs related to the QxEt theme were fixed. The first version with QxEt may be used is qooxdoo 1.2 or current trunk.

  1. It's getting better. Congratulations. I liked the white background, it turns the app "webbier".
It motivated me to learn how to create themes in qooxdoo. I want to create one based on google products that I expected to be even lighter than QxEt:
    - tabs (gmail settings),
    - - tab close default icon (google chrome)
    - toolbars and menubars(google spreadsheets),
    - table, tree, buttons (google docs),
    - window ('publish to the web' window from google spreadsheets but with a tinnier border),
    - scrollbars (google wave -- but keep the normal behavior from windows app).
    - checkboxes (like the ones in google docs "folder" popup)

  2. Hi Guilherme, thanks:)

I thing too that white background is very nice and useful. Google has good looking applications too, but I wanted mixture between web and desktop look:)

In future I'd like to create two another variants of this theme where different color combinations will be used (one combination will be probably brown+green).

  3. Very nice! Love the demo application, too. Did you craft that? I don't remember seeing that in the qooxdoo SDK.

  4. Hi Andy, thanks!

The demo application is part of qxbuild, you can look at it here theme.js.

You can test it with your own theme for example:)

  5. Hello... any update to qxBuild? It's still using qooxdoo v.1.0.1 while now qooxdoo is v.1.1. Thanks.

  7. Example not working on Firefox 5.0.1 for Mac OSX, which is a crap btw (the navigator, not the example which I could see in chrome). Plenty of weird errors.

From my experience, last Firefox for Mac releases are the "very worst" releases ever (for any system, any application)
